DYSFUNCTIONAL SEXUAL ENERGY AND HOW IT AFFECTS MOST ASPECTS OF YOUR LIFE
Sexual abuse, and unhealthy sexual development, causes all sorts of unhealthy repercussions. Consider that energy wise, sexual energy is of the lower parts of your body, in the explanations of energy through the chakra system, which is a pretty good system to base your understanding of who we are as spiritual beings, it is part of the foundation energies of your life. So dysfunctional and dysregulated sexual energies affect almost every aspect of your life. Even if your sex life seems normal on the outside, the effects will still be severe. A lot of people cannot find anything they feel purposeful about, they always project into the future a time when the details of their lives will be better, they always look upon what other people have versus them, materialism, lack of grounding, relationships that are not very satisfactory, feeling they don't have enough money, their home does not feel like a good home for them, not enough this or that, even their relationship with food is affected.
The energy center related to sexual energy is the second lowest chakra, above the root chakra which governs most aspects of the foundation of your life on earth, and the second chakra related to sexual energy, called sacral chakra, is greatly influenced by the root chakra, and influences it as well. They are part of the 7 main energy centers of the body. I won't go too much into the charka energy system, but just a quick look into it, to let people know how important each of these 7 aspects of their energy system is, and also, when you have a history of trauma and unresolved wounds, and when you life doesn't feel good enough to you, then you should consider which aspects seem worse to give you a better idea of where to focus your energy. And this system of energy is a good place to go to, if you want to isolate certain aspects of what you feel needs to be worked on, instead of simply going on am "all encompassing" healing journey, which can feel overwhelming if you don't break it down into smaller parts that you can relate to.
Reclaiming your sexual health is an important part of any healing journey, it is related to feeling in your body, to wholeness, to feeling safe and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. And also feeling that you are in charge of what goes on in your life, what you are willing to tolerate, and not tolerate, that important line in the sand of what you accept, and what you say no to. Your ability to grow healthy boundaries in your present, has a lot to do with your past, and anything unhealed and unprocessed there.

And it is truly hard to have a healthy self-worth when we have unresolved trauma, this type, or any other.
So, a person with a history of sexual abuse, or not having properly developed their sexual energy (which is super common), will have all sorts of problems related to their capacity to have a life of meaning, to develop a truly authentic identity, and embody the power of their soul. Those lower energy centers, when they are not functioning properly, will always leak energy into the ground. And it will make any higher development of your self nearly impossible, and also, it will make you judge yourself in all sorts of ways. A dysfunctional sexual energy will also make your own desires dysfunctional, either in what you think, what you focus on, making sex too important in your life, who you choose as sexual/romantic partners (which will most likely also be in a similar, and dysfunctional, situation), and what your plans for the future on. It is almost impossible for a person with high levels of unhealed abuse, sexual, physical, or any other, to be a very healthy, genuine, well grounded, and compassionate person.
We are spiritual beings first, and if your energy is dysfunctional, the ways it moves around and interacts with the energy of your body and others, so will your life be. Even if you are rich and famous, or broke, or anywhere in between, living in a lovely house or a tiny apartment... You always need to gage your life with how good you feel about yourself, how peaceful you are, how helpful and kind you are to others on a regular basis. Not on your level of happiness, because happiness can be bought, unconditional love cannot. And unconditional love is a love that is equal to everyone, it has nothing to do with loving one person with "all" of your heart, that is almost the opposite of unconditional love; a "love" full of conditions that is aimed at only one person, or very few. That kind of love is breaking our world apart.

And keep in mind also, that a dysfunctional sexual energy, will make all forms of sex, and attraction to the physical body, also dysfunctional. Your thoughts will center around odd sexual fantasies, or you will need to repress those feelings you don't want to admit you have. Our systems are always trying to resolve the suffering they are stuck with, and you either seek a solution, or fall into the problem, or repress it, or run away from it, sexual dysfunctions are the same. Don't be afraid of what your darkness is trying to make you do with it, but don't fall into it either. Many people do odd things sexually, have many sexual partners, don't care for it, or have dark sexual desires. It comes with a sexually abused past, or not having the opportunity to go through puberty in a healthy way. Many people face these things, but we don't have to remain stuck with it.
I think the whole world needs sexual healing, and to develop a better relationship with their bodies. Our spirit is barely holding on to our bodies, on a global scale, and that is why violence and abuse, and all sorts of other problems with money, are growing. A fully embodied spirit would heal everything, each of those lost parts causes our spirit, our soul, to lose connection to our body a little bit at a time, and that is the one most important problem we face. Which is why healing those lost parts, incorporating not only them, but our soul, into our body, should be everyone's top priority in life. Sex and our relationship to our body, are some of the main factors to look out for, after shelter and food/clothing are taking care of.
Your mind will always follow the pain you have not taken care of, and all aspects of your life will always reflect back the wounds of the past you have not healed. And that is what you will constantly look to resolve, even if you are barely aware of what you are doing about it. Endless and repeating cycles that always end up feeling blah and unfulfilling. The vast majority do this, over and over, very few escape.
Only those who have the courage to dig deep within their darkness, overcome their shadows, and come out stronger and more loving, can get to a life of purpose and meaning.
