ON NIGHTMARES AND NARCISSISTS

Nightmares should never be ignored, they are to your spirit as cancers that develop in your body, it is a huge warning sign that something in your spiritual being is not doing well, at all. If you ignore your nightmares, or don't try to resolve them, your soul is at risk of developing serious illnesses. And keep in mind that illnesses to your soul are things such as; anger, despair, greed, racism, bitterness, resentment, ADHD, apathy, depression, gluttony, deceit, materialism, lack of faith, and yes, especially narcissism... Our brain is intrinsically linked to our spirit, most illnesses in it, comes from our mind and soul.

"Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open..." - B.K.S. Lyengar

All of those illnesses are not natural to our soul, but they might be natural to our animal psyche, our ego, or a manifestation of it. And that is why you will only be able to manifest the authenticity of your soul, if you reduce those things that are destructive to it, incompatible with it. And when your soul develops these illnesses, your mind, your heart, your body, all develop their own illnesses along with it. To me, spontaneous remissions of cancer, are proof that the root cause of those people's cancers, was in their soul. And when those people overcame the suffering, the illness of their soul (bitterness, lack of forgiveness, fear of life...), all of sudden the cancer in their bodies was cured in a miraculously fast way.

So, the things that are chasing you, or frightening you, in your dreams, or nightmares, are often parts of you that are simply trying to get your attention, things that are very burdened with "evil", anti-soul stuff. So you can refer to evil as anything that works against your soul, as the term evil can be misleading for many, too harsh and difficult to understand. All of those fractured off parts have evil in them, that is precisely why they don't remain in your present. As your soul is beyond time, it can only exist in the absolute present moment, and anything related to time, like trauma, unreconciled past, unfulfilled desires, cannot remain in your present, and become anti-soul energy/entities that you must heal.

Which is why it is very important to not run away from nightmares, or your lost parts, because they often contain things about you that you keep running away from in your daily life, in relationships, and about yourself. When they come to you in dreams, don't deny their suffering, because you will end up denying important parts of you in the process.

"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" - John Lennon

Yes, everything in your dreams, exists in a way, they are manifestations of things that are real, and in that spiritual world, it is reality more than this one. I know it is hard to believe, that in our dreams, what we see and experience is closer to the truth than our "hard" physical world, but it is true. Everything happens in our mind first, before we make it "real" here. And in our dreams, what we have in our minds, manifests way faster, and easier. So you can see, dreams represent many things much closer to reality than what goes on in our minds when we are awake, more authentic, more direct.

Here, people walk around with all sorts of unresolved things going around in their heads, unresolved feelings and desires, pain, fears, unrequited love and affection. How can this world be so "real" if most of what we desire never happens, which means "we" never happen either? Our waking world is a very ill representation of our internal reality, of our hearts, and that is what is so "evil" about it, it is very far away from the truth of who we are, and what we are capable of. Anything that is not our true self, is evil, and that is what was so "evil" about the deception in the Garden of Eden, it pulled Adam and Eve away from God, away from the truth, and they hid the problem from God, made it even worse. And don't we do that so often, hide our problems from the light of day, from others, and from ourselves?

Evil is many things, including lies, deceit, false representation, chaos, unreconciled feelings, and as you must be aware of, our world, and us, are full of those things. So, yes, we are much more evil, ill, than we realize, so far from our truth. But less so in dreams, as things in dreams manifest with authenticity and honesty, even if very chaotic at times, the chaos is already in us. Again, which is why I believe dreams should be one of your main healing tools that you can rely upon, to see yourself as you are, including anything you have inside of yourself that manifests as nightmares. So in that sense, again, nightmares are the cancers of your soul, trying to get your attention. Dismissing them is like dismissing a very serious illness that will keep affecting you, and greatly diminishing your chances to reach God, and make your way out of here.

"I was trying my damnedest to lead a conventional life, for that was how I was brought up, and it was what my husband wanted of me. But one can't build little white picket fences to keep nightmares out..." - Anne Sexton

We very often create the details of our lives around our suffering, avoiding most of it. The idea of those white picket fences, as "ideal" things, are often the borders that keep our lost parts separated from one another. Materialism, wanting to appear good on the outside, wanting to appear successful, shame, not allowing ourselves enough time to heal because we think we will be at a disadvantage compared to those who persist on working despite the pain, or those that have little of it... All of that, leads to death in this world, not to eternal life beyond it, not to true joy and love.

Nightmares are some of the most important dreams to not dismiss, but they are often the ones that most people dismiss all the time. It is like having 10 children, one is starting to develop cancer, and their mood is not so good, and you keep telling that child to go to their room and only come out when they are cheery, because they keep making the other members of the family sad, to look at their pitiful faces. Yes, dismissing nightmares, equates to about the same thing. They are the parts of you that need healing the most, and they are often the parts of you that hold the most power, the biggest gifts, and even, your soul's purpose! Just like the people in this world who have healed and overcome some of the worst suffering, are often way more loving and purposeful than those who have not endured much of it.

To deny them their existence, their wellbeing, is to deny what is most important to you. And when you insist on denying those nightmares, eventually those parts of you will give up trying. So, people who have run away from their nightmares instead of healing them, and the nightmares don't return, it is often a very bad thing, not something to be happy about. Learn to develop a relationship to your dreams, and hope those "scary" parts of you come back, so that you can heal their pain, together.

And unfortunately, narcissists are very good at embodying the same kind of stuff you encounter in nightmares, as if manifesting all of your fears and weakness into your waking life, into the people closest to you. They can become as close to the embodiment of nightmares as you can find. Fighting against a narcissist is about the same as fighting against your nightmares, it is a losing battle. A healthy person will never have, or want, the energy and will power to defend themselves against narcissists, because it is a life depriving cycle. Narcissists are committed to that path, it is all consuming for them. They have already surrendered themselves to evil, and are trying to bring as many people down there as possible, especially the people closest to them. So they are, or can be, the embodiment of everything you would rather not have in your life, and they actually poke around in your psyche to find your deepest sources of suffering to use them against you, again, nightmarish behavior.

When you have someone around you intent on trying to keep you in suffering because they enjoy the pain they cause, actively weakening your defenses, amplifying the pains of your past and using your own wounds as knives to hurt you even more, betraying you as a sport, turning your own friends against you, gaslighting you into believing their version of reality as opposed to how reality truly is, making you doubt yourself in the worst ways possible... Well, to see them as your living nightmare is not so far from the truth. What you encounter in nightmares (and in other dreams) should be inspected, understood, loved, and let go of. Not fought against, and not running away from, that exemplifies the "fight or flight" responses. In dreams, and in nightmares, it is not any better relying on and activating that mechanism than doing it while you are awake.

"The world rewards you for what is in your mind, the universe rewards you for what is in your heart, and the Heavens reward you for what is in your soul..." - Matshona Dhliwayo
