GETTING THE FAMOUS "WAKE UP CALL"

The idea of the wake up call, which means getting snapped back into reality, well, where from?

Where do you think you are, if you think you need a good wake up call? You cannot be here, and need a wake up call at the same time, it doesn't work. So where are you, or where are parts of you? Because if you were completely gone, you would be asleep, or dead, and since you are still aware, still doing stuff, it would mean you are only partially aware, like we all are. When we lose ourselves too much into non-awareness, then our life starts derailing, we become mentally ill in a way, our mind does not work for our best, and healthiest, interests. Narcissists, sociopaths, can be very successful, rich, and famous, funny and entertaining, but they do indeed have mental disorders, the "person" running the show is mostly a fabricated self full of ill functioning, even if successful and productive, programs. Anything that is not of love, not of healthy community building, is ill functioning.

"Healthy citizens are the greatest asset any nation can have..." - Winston Churchill

And narcissists, sociopaths, and all those on the dark spectrum, are the unhealthiest of citizens, the worst assets, even if on the surface, they seem to be treasure troves of productivity and resources, great for business and the economy, they are the ones marching our civilization towards the edge of the cliff. That would be the ultimate wake up call we need to get to, but this is also about our own individual wake up call, to get to our personal healing path and wellbeing.

"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members..." - Coretta Scott King

And this applies to your internal community also.

Our body is not us, it has its own consciousness in a way, so the real you, is not your body, and yes, "you" can be mostly asleep, even if your body is awake and going about its business. So this famous "wake up" call, for a person to finally see things as they are, it is literal. When people who are facing death, a deadly cancer, and they get that wake up call, they finally "get it" and wake up to the truth of their situation, and the lucky ones get a spontaneous remission of their cancer. Again, it is the real them finally taking charge, like someone shaking another awake from a nightmare, their soul finally takes hold of their body, and takes over the healing process.

It is related to all those lost parts I often talk about, the more of them that are lost in your subconscious, the more of you is asleep. It is on a sliding scale, like a dimmer, not all or nothing. The more lost parts you have, the more your body functions on autopilot, the more you become a simple witness in the background, not able to take charge, not able to make the proper decisions for your life, and the more your body will be prone to all sorts of illnesses, physical, mental, and emotional. The spiritual illness idea, is directly related to how much of you is lost in the subconscious, compared to how much of you there is in your body, aware and in the present.

“There is no health without mental health; mental health is too important to be left to the professionals alone, and mental health is everyone’s business..." - Vikram Patel

Your lost parts are perpetually playing out different scenarios in the dream/spiritual world, so they are not in touch with reality, or barely. Some are having sex with your neighbor or someone else, some are running away from dogs, some are stuck in a corner because they saw a rat, and are terrified by them. Others are stuck on the edge of a cliff, afraid to fall over and die. Yes, most phobias are directly related to those lost parts, continuously stuck in high places, continuously stuck running away from dogs, or sleeping with spiders or snakes. A fully present person would have no phobias, no illnesses apart from the very few illnesses that are inevitable to our human bodies and brain. The majority of illnesses are unnatural, they come from our spiritual beings not being whole and present, living, or I should dying, in all sorts of illusions and nightmares.
MAJOR WAKE UP CALLS

When a person that has lived in the state of having too many of their soul parts stuck in their subconscious, and their grasp of the details of their lives get out of hand way too much, yet at the same time, their desire to live a better life is still strong, then they have an opportunity to face a major wake up call. People that have surrendered too much, like narcissists, even wake up calls might not even register much for them, not a life changing event like for the people who still fight for love and a better life.

"I can look at cancer as a disease that picks me out and 'why me,' or I can look at it through love and say, 'This is a wake-up call. This is my body telling me: 'Hey, you're out of balance here. It's time to get in line with yourself..." - Melissa Etheridge

Like people diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Many people go through that, and simply give up, give in to the illness, and they go along with it, they die. Some people who refuse to allow that outcome, have an opportunity to face a major wake up call, which means, a lot of their lost soul parts wake up at the same time, and finally take a good look at "reality" for what it is. If they are lucky, and persist, they will then do what is necessary to integrate those soul parts, mend their relationship to one another, maybe forgive themselves, forgive someone else, make changes in their lives, stop drinking, whatever their lost soul parts need to face, and overcome, before they accept to be integrated into the present self. They do so because they feel they have a lot to lose if they don't, for those that value life. Narcissists will tend to look at what they have, materialistically speaking, to determine if it is worth fighting for their lives or not.

We create hell, a little bit at a time, by allowing our soul to get fractured off from the present, from love, and from God, and not doing more to rescue those parts.
Today, hell is overflowing, it has a maximum capacity to contain evil, the walls of hell are wearing thin, and evil is spreading out all over the place, and something needs to happen. Either a major, and collective, wake up call, or an alternative, which is much less pleasant: The ones able to cross over, will, and the others will perish with the great reset. More on this on the "GOD IS AN ALIEN" page.

Just like a person who has too many soul parts lost in their subconscious develops mental illnesses, so does our collective world become too ill when the collective subconscious becomes too full, and our collective grasp on love and reality, gets too weak.

The idea of the second coming, that the date of return is not fixed, is because it cannot be known when that time has come exactly, when the collective has reached its breaking point, the point of no return. Just like for mental illnesses, when does a person give up on their grasp of reality, and allows themselves to fall into that darkness? Or why does one person accept a terminal diagnosis, and another person does not, and receives the gift of a spontaneous remission. Why does one woman accept being physically abused, and another walks away? There are many things that are hard for us to know, even depression, we still have very little understanding of why someone "falls" into depression all of sudden, or comes out of it. They give in, then they decide to fight, the details are murky even if we understand some of it. I've suffered from this, and even mapping and journaling my recovery, has not made subsequent recoveries any easier. I am now facing those deeper issues, my spiritual path was stagnating, my own "labor of love" was dying in a tiny corner of my psyche, which I had to uncover and bring to light, nothing else would have worked.

Sad souls are the bane of healthy civilizations, especially the ones who have given up all hopes of recovery.

So, wake up calls are all about facing the painful truths in ways that you cannot dismiss any longer. All of those lost soul parts, are parts of you that you keep dismissing for all sorts of reason, and yes, they pull you towards illnesses, accidents, bad company, into abusive relationships, trauma bonding... When you, and they, can't take it any longer, that is when you face a dangerous situation, either you give up, give in to their pain, or you find a way to face it, and grow out of it. I do believe that most illnesses, it is your body sending you that message, wake up and smell the pain, before you will ever be able to smell the roses again.

MINOR WAKE UP CALLS

So for most people, ideally, it is for them to find ways to force mini wake up calls on a regular basis. It is not an easy thing to do, but it is better then suddenly facing the reality of being told you only have two weeks to live.

Facing mini wake up calls is easier to force, and get over. But it can also be hard, as there is no life or death imperative to kick your ass into gear. And you have to get through many of those, before you can witness change in your life. And even when you face and overcome many, since it is a slow process, it can be easier to fall back below the line of that better average you are trying to get to, and maintain. So, you must have a very strong resolution to heal to keep going, because there will be a lot of back and forth going on, and it can get discouraging.

The major wake up call can be like being thrown out of a plane, and needing to evolve wings before you hit the ground. It can be super hard, facing death and all the stress while at the same time recollecting yourself and having enough faith in a situation that seems impossible, but you generally only need to do it once. For those without higher beliefs, a strong belief in God, the major wake up call might be near impossible to achieve with a good amount of success, without falling back.

With the minor wake calls, you spread out that process in about 50-100 steps, throughout 5-10 years, depending on how serious you are, how many changes you are willing to make in your life, how often you slide back. That is depending on your age, depending on how much trauma you have in your history, how long you let all of those negative situations accumulate, how much therapy you do... Maybe that sounds like a lot, but remember, a mini wake up call can be as simple as remembering the smell of something you used to enjoy eating, and ordering it on your next restaurant outing to reconnect to better times. Small steps that bring you back to a healthier, and more stable, state of awareness. When you open up to the idea of a better life, realizing that things are not so good, even those small and sustained steps can help.

Why do I say five to ten years for the path of the mini wake-up calls?

Well, for one, if you find yourself aching for a different kind of life, it is most likely because your life has not been going great for a long time, and this is most likely because you have a lot of childhood stuff that is unresolved, or a long history of unhealthy decisions and relationships, whether you are aware of it or not.

It takes a while to face those things, and make the necessary changes before your life can be substantially better. And have developed a strong understanding of yourself, what you need to walk towards, what you need to walk away from, and grow strong and healthy boundaries to protect what you have accomplished. So, yes, for many adults, it can take that long to achieve good, and long-lasting results. I am talking about soul work, a true and deep healing journey, walking towards God, and not simply getting good enough to land a better job, or find a romantic partner. I am talking about the journey of soul awakening, and anyone serious enough about it, 5-10 years to achieve a strong foundation should not seem like much, as soul work is a lifelong process. Those 5-10 years are about undoing the bad, and building a life that permits you to continue on that journey with more stability and wisdom, so that you never again step back in those old shoes that have kept you in hell all this time.

And anyone thinking about skipping this, and heading straight to the major wake up call... Well, for one, most people will need to face an imminent, and most dangerous, threat for that to happen. And no one can consciously choose this path, it is not possible. A person with a death wish, cannot choose this path knowingly, nor can, or should, a person seek to attract a life threatening illness in the hopes of getting a major wake up call. You can work towards the mini wake up calls, but any conscious effort to head towards a major wake up call will only make matters worse for you. It's like trying to play games with God, it will never succeed. You can't become an alcoholic on purpose, you can't start smoking heavily in the hopes of getting a deadly cancer to get your major wake up call, won't happen. You will most likely just die, in a similar way to someone who has committed suicide.

“Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being...” - Greg Anderson

I have found psychedelics to be great at forcing those minor wake up calls. They open your mind, and heart, to the truths of those lost parts, they show you who they are, where they are, and what their suffering is about. The challenge is to process that information properly, make the necessary changes to your life, and prevent those lost parts from slipping back into your subconscious. So, if you have a major part of you in those lost places, staying there because you have a very abusive person in your immediate surroundings, forget about keeping that lost part in your present if you refuse to face the abusive person, or walk away from them. Take this example and apply it to every lost soul part you have, because they each have a story of pain you need to face, and they each have their own conditions that you need to accept, before they come back to the present, and live with you.

Many of those lost soul parts are stuck in childhood, so you might need to face some "childish" demands, like learning how to play like a child again, before they will accept to be part of your life. Remember, they are living in illusions, and sometimes living in those illusions, is better for them than facing the life you are currently living, especially if you have addictions to drug or alcohol, or you have abusive people around you, if you are working in a soul sucking job, if you are too lazy to get your butt of the couch, if you keep putting off your bucket list...  If your current conditions were ideal for your soul, and you had done all of the soul/trauma work necessary, you would be like God, right? Fully embodied and fully present, if not, there is work yet to do.

And, as all of those lost soul parts are living in a traumatized/illusory state, even the ones "living it up" in dreams of sandy beaches and mojitos, they will always seek out trauma bonded relationships, a world of victims and abusers, loafers, thieves, liars, manipulators. Even the best of dreams, are still dreams, outside of the present moment, and very soul, and love, depriving.

"The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness..." - Abraham Maslow
A WORD OF CAUTION ON PSYCHEDELICS

As psychedelics can give a person a good wake up call, which is great and wanted, except, if they have too many lost parts suffering in terrible places, getting a wake up call all of a sudden, can be very detrimental to their psyche. Which is why people need to consider their mental health history before engaging in this form of therapy, especially when doing some major work with them, such as what happens in Ayahuasca ceremonies. People responsible for psychedelic ceremonies, especially potent ones like Ayahuasca, often ask attendees to sign waiver forms including medical history related to health and mental illnesses, and might deny the medicine to those with certain mental health issues, or taking certain prescription drugs.

If you have doubts, consult a mental health professional, and start slowly if it is advisable.
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ON INTENT

Understanding intent has a big part to play in how those lost parts get lost, and stay lost, and how you can heal them back into your present. A person that chooses to go sunbathe on a private beach without permission, for one, will have repercussions to their soul just for that. But let's say that the person, out of spite, for whatever reason, has decided to believe that all beaches should be public, and for that, chooses to steal one grain of sand, just one with that specific intent, for that specific reason. Well, if another person sunbathes on the same private beach on another day, then leaves while feeling a bit guilty for doing that, and inadvertently carries with them 10,000 grain of sand in the process, on their shoes, their towel... That person will be far better off then that one person who cleans themselves up of all sand, except for the one grain of sand they stole, and hold as a prize. That is intent, and for the spiritual laws that govern this place of ours, intent is one of the major forces behind everything that happens, and all repercussions. Everything that you do, the battle between good and evil, is all based on intent and awareness, the desire to do good, to do bad, or if you don't care either way, which is by default, generally related to evil.

So, in your healing and spiritual journey, it is important for you to consider your intent in all that you do, and your intent in the many situations you faced in your past. The repercussions of intent is much less severe for children, as they are supposed to be taught about intent and love by their parents, and how to avoid harming other people. But when children grow into an adult, then they become responsible and must learn themselves. Intent should be taken very seriously, even if you had poor role models growing up, because the spiritual repercussions of everything you do relies heavily on intent. Like someone who intends on harming someone else on purpose, they will suffer greatly for it, much more than another would suffer for harming someone without a desire to do so. Ignorance only goes a certain distance though, don't allow yourself to remain ignorant in the hopes of lessening the spiritual repercussions of your actions, as that has similar consequences to those who try to cheat the code by purposefully creating major wake up calls.

"Intention is one of the most powerful forces there is. What you mean when you do a thing will always determine the outcome. The law creates the world..." - Brenna Yovanoff

If you keep your eyes, and heart, open, you can achieve many of these mini wake up calls in your daily life, by changing your perspective, allowing life to guide your eyes, and mind, to what it needs to heal. And especially when you choose to add good intents to the stuff you normally did without much thinking about it, as intent is a great way to build gratitude and understanding in your thoughts and actions.

For instance, think about your daily walk to work, or something like that, a familiar routine. Consider a homeless person that you see every day, and think about all the times you simply dismissed the man while you were busy thinking about your work day. But, after a new tug in your heart, a new opening because you decided that you wanted more love in your life, being proactively intentional and becoming more spiritually mature, your eyes go to that homeless man. And for once, you have empathy for him, for once, you "get" what it could be like to be him, to sit on that sidewalk, beg for money, cold, wet, no home to go to, relying on hand-outs, mentally ill, suffering from addictions. A door opens, your heart expands to encompass someone else that is living such a different life than your own.

That is how we grow spiritually, that is how we develop love and compassion, to extend our hearts into the shoes, the life, of people that are suffering. We hardly ever do that. Mostly we focus on ourselves, or we try to imagine what the life of our mentors would be like, how it would be like to be a multi-millionaire, a billionaire, rich and famous. We hardly ever extend our hearts and minds towards the suffering, the ones who have little to nothing, to witness life in their shoes for a while, to feel their pain. And not doing that, leads to spiritual poverty, immaturity of the soul, and to death. Humanity exists on a vast spectrum of emotions and feelings, experiences. We often avoid most of it, and only focus on the perceived good we wish to aim for. Then we avoid most of what life has to offer, including the pain of our lost parts we avoid, and keep hidden from love.

"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live..." - George Bernard Shaw

A SMALL NOTE ON DELAYED GRATIFICATION AND FASTING: As an important healing tool to practice patience, and perseverance... Even in the bible, they talk about "abnegation", or renouncing of certain things, denying certain desires for a period of time for the purpose of taking control of your senses and overcoming habits, such as eating too much chocolate, sweets, binging on TV and social media, food addictions, alcohol... Going on fasts, silent mediation retreats where you let go of all your electronic devices, talking, only eating basic foods. And those fasts, are not just about food, but with anything you want. You can have an intent on not using your cellphone one day a week, or never using it past 9pm, or waiting at least 15 minutes to use it when you wake up in the morning. When we do whatever we feel like, when we feel like, eat whatever, never denying ourselves anything that we can afford, it can lead not only to spiritual poverty, but it contributes to keeping those dark parts of you in those lost places.

When you purposefully choose to put aside stuff you enjoy, to feel the ache of not having them on purpose, for building up a better understanding of why you keep reaching for the chips or chocolate bar, the beer, or those bad habits, you can get an insight into potential suffering you have been repressing. Practically all food addictions, alcohol, unhealthy habits, is about suppressing suffering in one form or another. Denying ourselves those things that we know we have a hard time avoiding for a while, can help to shed light on the dark places in our subconscious, as an extra tool in your spiritual toolbelt.

"Fasting humbles you and brings clarity, even allowing you to get unforgiveness and bitterness out of your heart..." - Jentezen Franklin
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself..." - George Bernard Shaw
